George Ezra to perform on Champions Day

5 Sep 2017

'Blame It On Me' singer will bring the curtain down on the Flat season at Ascot on October 21

One of the most talented musicians of his generation, George Ezra, will bring Britain’s richest raceday to a close when he headlines the after-party at QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot racecourse on Saturday 21 October. Tickets are going very quickly, you get book your spot here .

Described by former BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe as, “one of the most compelling and powerful vocalists around,” QIPCO British Champions Day will be one of the last opportunities for fans to see Ezra play in the UK this year, following a host of appearances on some of the summer’s biggest stages including the Isle of Wight Festival, Glastonbury and V.

Ezra first got his break through BBC Introducing which picked up on some of his tracks, leading to a live session at the legendary Maida Vale studios and a critically-acclaimed performance at Glastonbury in 2013. He has since shot to fame with his quadruple platinum, number 1 debut album which included the hits ‘Budapest’ and ‘Blame it on Me’ and more recently released his latest single ‘Don’t Matter Now’ from his eagerly anticipated second album.

Last year QIPCO British Champions Day was rated the best raceday in Europe with two of the world’s top ten races (QIPCO Champion Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes). This year’s finale to the European flat racing season is set to be another high class affair with the winners of 83 Group 1s, together with Europe’s top ten horses, including wonder-filly, Enable, all entered to compete on the day.

Demand for tickets is high with hospitality sold out and with fewer than 100 tickets available for the King Edward VII enclosure. With limited ticket availability for the remaining two enclosures, the Winning Post and Queen Anne, fans are urged to secure their tickets now to avoid disappointment. Prices start from £27 for adults and under 18s attend for free.
