Flagbearer for the Michael Appleby yard, he is a half-brother to smart sprinter Demora who also hails from the stable.

Having won on his second start at Redcar in October 2013, it was following his three-length success at Newmarket’s Craven meeting that he really began to take the eye as a progressive sprinter.

Before the end of that campaign he landed a first Group 3 success in the Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle, before finishing runner-up in a valuable handicap at Doncaster as well as the Group 3 Bengough Stakes at Ascot.

He tried Group 1 company for the first time in July 2015 and was far from disgraced finishing fifth in the Darley July Cup, beaten just over two lengths by the winner Muhaarar. He also finished sixth in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock before being dropped in class to gain a confidence boosting win at Musselburgh in September.

He then turned in a career-best to finish third in the QIPCO British Champions Sprint on Champions Day, with only Group 1 winners Muhaarar and Twilight Son finishing ahead of him.
