Superstar American mare who has helped light up the 2016 QIPCO British Champion Series with her victory in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Tepin arrived at Ascot having won her past six races (three at the highest level) by more than 20 lengths – with a Breeders’ Cup Mile triumph featuring among them.

However, there were plenty of doubts surrounding her for her debut in England. No lasix. No nasal patches. The travelling. The soft ground. A first run over a straight mile for a jockey with no experience of the track. And a strong European team to master.

Tepin drifted in the market but it made no difference. She was simply too good for her rivals – fending off Belardo, the Lockinge winner, by half a length.

After Ascot she had a break before returning to win the Woodbine Mile in smooth style in Canada.

We will see her again on these shores? Probably not. But her success will encourage others to travel over.
