Having trained his first winner under rules in 1972, Martyn Meade is certainly not new to the profession of training racehorses having enjoyed plenty of success with two-year-olds in particular.
He moved to the historic Sefton Lodge stables a couple of seasons ago and having refurbished the yard is now enjoying plenty of success from his new base.
Perhaps the best horse in the yard at present is French 1000 Guineas runner-up Irish Rookie who also ran well when finishing third in the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.
